The School of Nursing at Fresno State was featured in an “Education Matters” segment, highlighting the clinical, real-world experience nursing students receive through the Knorr Simulation Lab on campus and the Community Health Mobile Unit, which goes out into the community.

The segment also emphasized the interprofessional aspect of the mobile unit, which provides training not just for nursing students, but also those majoring in athletic training, as well as dietetic majors from the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology.

Each semester, the mobile unit visits nearly 30 communities and serves about 1,000 individuals throughout Fresno County.

“Education Matters” is produced by the Fresno County Office of Education and airs each week on KSEE 24 News. The program shares the stories and successes of the local school district.
