Tomorrow will mark the the return of Fresno State’s Community Health Mobile Unit, as it makes its latest stop in West Fresno at the Mary Ella Brown Center (1350 E. Annadale). This is just the first of nearly 20 scheduled stops during the spring semester.
The Community Health Mobile Unit provides free health services to underserved communities and in rural areas within Fresno County. Much-needed services like flu shots, diabetes testing, blood pressure screenings and health assessments are among the many services offered to the public.
The mobile unit takes an interprofessional approach to its services, utilizing student clinicians from various majors at Fresno State, including nursing, athletic training, public health, recreation administration, dietetics and Spanish, among others.
