The College of Health and Human Services, along with the Department of Kinesiology, is pleased to present its second annual “Live Well Lecture” featuring Dr. Barbara Ainsworth, regents’ professor of Exercise Science and Health Promotion in the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University.
The lecture, titled “Couch Potatoes, Scurriers and Weekend Warriors: How to Enhance Health and Avoid Premature Mortality” will focus on how to avoid inactivity by instead promoting physical activity, health and well-being.
Ainsworth is an alumnus of Fresno State, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Physical Education in 1974. Since then, she has gone on to publish nearly 300 publications related to her research in physical activity and public health with a focus on the assessment of physical activity in populations and physical activity in women.
