Join the College of Health and Human Service faculty and Centers/Institutes staff as we talk shop, connect, learn and inspire collaboration for present and future research opportunities! The next CHHS Shop Talk is happening this Thursday, February 19th. Shop Talk will happen every third Thursday during the academic year, from 3:30 – 5:00 pm. Each session will highlight the research and work of two faculty within the college.

Dr. Peter Garcia, faculty in the School of Nursing, will discuss the Doctorate of Nursing Practice in practice: Noctor or Doctor?  A look at the role, and acceptance of the “doctor-nurse” in practice.

Dr. Hollianne Marshall is a faculty member in criminology, who has been collaborating with the Central California Social Welfare Evaluation, Research and Training Center (SWERT). She will discuss a current collaborative project with SWERT that focuses on creating baseline data with which all future growth in the Juvenile Day Report Center (JDRC) can be measured, and also ensuring that the JDRC meets the outcomes that they proposed initially; helping Kings County meet their new goals of Juvenile Justice.
Shop Talk is held at the Central California Center for Health and Human Services, located at 1625 E. Shaw Ave., Suite 146, Fresno, CA 93710.
