On January 28, the entire class of first year students in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program attended the 2015 California Physical Therapy Association’s Student Legislative Day at the state house. They were accompanied by Drs. Paul Ullucci, Marcia Thompson and Monica Rivera. The event promotes the profession of physical therapy through advocacy. Of the 180 students in attendance, Fresno State was the only school to have first year students attend.

“Our students purported themselves with dignity, grace, passion and professionalism, quickly gaining the trust of their mentors as well as the members of the legislature and their staff,” said Dr. Ullucci. “Our students were the best dressed and most professional to hit the hill. Their excitement in supporting their profession and thanking the members of the legislature for allowing physical therapists to have direct access in California was a joy to see.”
