Even though #GivingTuesday has passed, we here at the College of Health and Human Services plan to celebrate the act of giving all month long! Are you planning to donate to your favorite charity and/or cause of choice? If so, join us at CHHS and post an #unselfie and let us know who you support during this month of giving back! Here are some other fantastic ways our college is making a difference this holiday season!
47 students from North Salinas High recently visited our Physical Therapy and Nursing labs to get a firsthand glimpse into the programs Fresno State has to offer. Thumbs up to these future healthcare leaders – and to all the nursing and physical therapy students that took the time to show them the ropes!
The California Nursing Students’ Association at Fresno State is collecting toys for Fresno Toys for Tots, from now until December 7th! If you would like to donate a new unwrapped toy you can drop it of at one of their two locations in Mclane Hall, Rm 180 & 280. Our CHHS Advising office is also collecting toys. Stop by and make your toy donation – and help make the holidays brighter for area kids!
We’re so proud of the wonderful work being done by our very own Social Work students! The association teams of Social Work and Trabajadores de La Raza volunteered at the 2014 AIDS Walk, where over $23,000 was raised to support The Living Room. Great job future social workers!
