We are just one week away from our second annual Celebrating our Engagement event, to be held on Thursday, October 23rd from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in North Gym 118! This event is an interdisciplinary open house showcasing outstanding faculty research, exciting new initiatives and innovative student projects.

This year, we are excited to have 24 research projects represented by faculty from the various academic disciplines within our seven departments in the College of Health and Human Services. Dr. Kara Zografos, Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health, appeared on KSEE24’s Central Valley Today to talk about her collaborative project with fellow Public Health Professors, Dr. John Capitman and Dr. Jaymin Kwon, regarding air quality in the valley. You can learn more about their project, Children’s Health and Air Pollution Study: Creating Research Opportunities for Fresno State Students and Faculty, at the Celebrating our Engagement event – where they will serve as our main presenters of the evening. We’ll also have our 23 other research projects on display throughout the room, so please stop by and learn all about the innovative and bold projects going on in our college!
This event also gives fellow faculty, administrators, alumni and the community a chance to meet and congratulate new and recently promoted faculty members and learn more about the critical role that community engagement plays in achieving the college’s mission and its commitment to Live Well Central California.
Registration for this event is highly encouraged. You may RSVP online at: http://pawsforms.csufresno.edu/rsvp using RSVP code: CELEBRATE. For any questions regarding registration, please contact Beth Wilkinson at 559.278.5276.
