Join the College of Health and Human Service faculty and Centers/Institutes staff as we talk shop, connect, learn and inspire collaboration for present and future research opportunities! The very first CHHS Shop Talk is happening Thursday, September 18th. Shop Talk will happen every third Thursday during the academic year, from 3:30 – 5:00 pm. Each session will highlight the research and work of two faculty within the college.

Come and learn about the Central Valley Concussion Consortium and how you might be able to participate in the promotion of a “Play It Safe” program for student athletes from Dr. Fran Pomaville, assistant professor in the department of Communicative Disorders and Deaf Studies; and learn “Who are Mexican-Americans in South Texas Seeking For Help  – a Folk Healer or Therapist?” from Dr. Iran Barrera, associate professor in the department of Social Work Education.
