Kinesiology Professor Dr. Wade Gilbert has joined Human Kinetics as an advisor and representative, with a focus in the area of coach education. Human Kinetics, based in Champaign, IL, is a worldwide leader in providing quality informational and educational products in physical activity, health, sport, and sport science.

In his role, Gilbert will work with Human Kinetics vice president and coach education director Ted Miller, in meeting the goal of providing real-time, needs-based coach education both in the United States and internationally.

Dr. Gilbert, an award-winning professor in his field, has more than 20 years of experience as a coach educator and advisor for organizations that include school districts, collegiate teams, Olympic organizations and the United Nations – making him the ideal candidate to act as advisor

Using his expertise as a widely-published author, Gilbert will also provide articles for blogs, websites, and e-newsletters and conduct webinars on a variety of coaching issues. Gilbert is currently the editor of the Human Kinetics’ International Sport Coaching Journal, and will continue in this role.
